I have been trapped to fix my nephew’s toy at one warm day. It had cost my priceless 30 minutes reading time to get busy with screw etc. With him moving around with noisy sounds he made with mouth and his another stuffs, I almost burn… .
This 8 years old boy was diagnosed as ADHD (attention deficit and hyperactive disorder) child. He seems to fill up all of his time with activities and comments about everything. He keeps telling me to try another way, with another tool, and even asking me left it behind until his dad coming home.
With understanding of his ADHD behavior, I push my self to be patient. I’m motivated to fix the toy just to show him the meaning of struggle and the importance of finish anything you’ve start. That there’s always a result for our struggle.
50 exhausted minutes passing by, … finally I made plan to surrender in elegance way.
But before it happened, I’ve asked God for help.
“Oh God, give me a chance to show him the meaning of struggle. Please. I’ve do all that I can do. Let him learn something from this, help me please… .”
CLACK!
Suddenly, the toy ran perfectly!
LIKE IT SHOULD BE!
“You made it! You made it!” He said.
Huge smile put onto his chubby face.
‘Oh God, Oh God. You are here!’
He answered my wish directly.
I feel so relieved… . It’s a greater feeling than happiness.
For me it was a miracle, a transcendental experience I’ve ever had.
At that day, not only my nephew who learns.
Me, myself, has been taught the deepest meaning of struggle and surrender.
From the Master… .
